52 on Fridays (9/52) Out of Focus

The magic of a memory that is slightly out of focus is that a simple night can be something so much more. I am pretty sure that last night my husband and I were strolling the streets of Paris. After a beautiful evening of food, wine, and dancing, we settled down for the discussion we had been avoiding for too long. We both knew that we had to choose between his emerging career as chef and my opportunity to travel as a photographer for a major news organization. As I was about to tell him that I could not ask him to give up his dream, he turned to me and said...

We kissed. We laughed. And everything was right with the world. At least I think that's how it went. Of course, now that I focus on the actual events of the previous evening a little more, maybe I was at Lowes with my husband and kids. Our reality was a little more like this...

After an evening of leftovers and frozen yogurt, we loaded into the Odyssey for the third trip to Lowes this week. We both knew that we had to choose between staying together to choose faceplates for the new bathroom or letting me take pictures of random things for my blog. I felt I only had one choice- to leave him in the paint aisle with the children. As I was about to text my husband to let him know I had found a few images that would work for this post, he rounded the corner and said...

Oh, reality, how far inferior you are to my out of focus vision of the evening! I hope Chay has some better magic to share in her post this week. Please visit Chay Hastings Photography to see what out of focus means to her.

What a fun post! As I began to read it, I was thinking, wow, how my husband and I need a night out! And the whole photography thing and his job had me a bit envious :) The end was so much a typical day in our life. Loved this!! And that first picture could be from a stroll in Paris!!
