Winter does not present herself in Mississippi as it does in other places. Her cold blankets of ice and snow rarely cover our grounds. But the season does not go unnoticed by nature here. The beautiful gardens of my neighborhood turn from lush hues of life to dry, dark tests of faith. Will the beauty return in the spring? Will all of the gloom once again be defeated by the promise of something new, fresh, and alive?

This is a great representation of winter in the South! Minnesota is suppose to have LOTS of snow right now, but I was starting to worry when we didn't have any. It just isn't winter without snow to us. Last weekend a dusting appeared, and now today it is snowing a bit more....Love the words to go with the photo!
Beautiful. I love your processing. I like the presentation and quote.
Very nice take on winter! The saying is so true and the photo is so wintery...I'm going to write it down.
